Who We Are
There are three groups who support our mission: the Investigators, the REEP, and the DEEP. These teams work together, as a Learning Collaborative, to include adults with intellectual disability (ID) in health research.

The Disability Experience Expert Panel (DEEP)
The Disability Experience Expert Panel (DEEP) is a group of adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. DEEP works closely with investigators as research partners. They make sure the questions we ask are important and easy to understand. They make sure the questions we ask are important and clear.

The Research Experience Expert Panel (REEP)
The Research Experience Expert Panel (REEP) is a national group of experts in health, mental health, and disability research. They share their expertise and help make our research better. They have backgrounds in research, policy, or disability services. Some have lived disability experience.
The National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) funds the Can You Hear Us Now? research (grants 90RTHF0002-01-00 and 90RTHF0006-01-00). NIDILRR is part of the Administration for Community Living in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The ideas on these web pages belong to the research team and not to NIDILRR or to the Administration for Community Living.
