Biography
Ms. Mackenzie Burness is a Clinical Research Coordinator at The OSU Nisonger Center. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology from OSU. Her work is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD) by promoting health, inclusion, and accessibility. With the Can You Hear Us Now? RRTC grant, she conducts recruitment screenings for Study 2, which is the Prevalence Study. Ms. Burness recently assisted in obtaining a grant from the Ohio Developmental Disabilities Council to study the home care nursing workforce shortage for Ohioans with ID/DD. She is passionate about advancing knowledge and committed to improving the mental health and well-being of individuals with ID/DD.
