Philip Wilson, PhD

Dr. Philip Wilson is a Professor in the School of Allied Health Professions, Department of Interdisciplinary Human Studies at LSUHSC-New Orleans. He has been the director of the Human Development Center (HDC) since 2006. HDC is Louisiana’s federally authorized University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD). As a leader of the Louisiana UCEDD (HDC), Dr. Wilson encourages and supports HDC’s faculty and staff to ensure their work in the disability field includes a focus on enhancing individual and group identity. Dr. Wilson is focused on ensuring access to quality services and support for individuals with disabilities.
