Biography

Dr. Richard Chapman is the Associate Director for Disability Leadership at the Partnership for People with Disabilities at Virginia Commonwealth University. He completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Kansas, studying self-determination intervention and assessment. He is a disability studies scholar and conducts research in the area of self-determination. Dr. Chapman is a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida. He has a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and a PhD all from the University of South Florida.
